Steven works for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, where he has led several Tier 1 testing projects and has spent the last eight years honing his abilities within the test automation space. During that time, Steven was influential inestablishing Ruby as a test automation standard within the Enterprise. Steven is an Agile, Lean, and Automation enthusiast and enjoys sharing his experiences with the industry
Tommy is a senior consultant at Improving in Columbus. Tommy loves learning new technologies and best practices that make writing software better and more consistent. He has worked for 7 years writing code on the .NET platform for various enterprises in the Columbus area.
Paul Meeker is the Manager of Product Development for the Academic Information Systems team at Franklin University. Paul started as a BA and he now oversees Analysis, Project Management, Support, and Quality Assurance. Paul has helped grow and scale Agile software development at Franklin. Franklin has built many software products, most notably BlueQuill, a custom learning management system that is being commercialized and sold internationally. This commercialization effort over the past year has more than doubled the size of the software development team. Paul is a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and is an IBM Certified Solution Designer in the Rational Unified Process v.7.0.
Todd Girvin a Senior Vice President and heads the Microsoft Technology Practice at Improving Enterprises. Since co-founding Improving in August of 2004, he works with clients and teams to bring best practices to bear in the world of software development. Today, Todd works closely with Microsoft developer tools specialists to evangelize the power of Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and Microsoft Test Manager. He also teaches courses on agile software development, OOP, and quality assurance using the Microsoft tools. Todd has a special interest in building great teams of great people, practicing agile development, and exploring the tools and techniques for both of those. He also has an interest in motorcycles, fast cars, martial arts, and philosophy. Todd believes that in and out of work, life is too short not to have fun.
Josh Harrison is a leader in the Columbus IT community. He serves as Vice President of Consulting for Improving Enterprises where he is responsible for business development, talent acquisition, and building teams that create innovative software. He speaks regularly on emerging technology and its effect on business. Additionally, Josh has a passion for the non-profit world. He sits on the board of local non-profits including Gladden Community House and Unverferth House and is interested in ways non-profits can leverage technology and entrepreneurship to solve social problems.
Robert Melchor is a senior consultant at Improving Enterprises in Columbus. He has worked for several Improving clients as a Project Manager and Business Analyst. He's experienced working with Agile and Waterfall environments on software and infrastructure related projects. Robert is a believer in the success of theAgile Methodology and been fortunate to work with successful development teams. Robert and his wife Brenda live in Columbus and spoil their two kids way too much.
Craig is a consultant for Improving Enterprises’ Columbus office. His professional interests include compilers, math, functional programming, and proving systems. He is actively involved as as a member of TeamB and the ACM. When Craig is not developing software, he likes to play Irish traditional music on the wooden flute and tin whistle.
